Universal Trilogy bio

The Universal Trilogy is a Greek indie electronic band formed in Thessaloniki in 1994. They are one of the pioneering groups of the local electronic music scene with English lyrics. After of 18 years music career have released 6 full albums, which were all well received from the independent local press and scene. Also they are active part of Thessaloniki’s alternative music scene movement and all of those years have succeeded to adapt and enrich their compositions with new sounds.
The band was formed in 1994 in Thessaloniki when P.X. Harris, CJ aos and Nomik started several of successful appearances at the local underground clubs and parties. In 1995 Universal Trilogy recorded their debut EP “Global”, which resulted them to be famous in a wide range of audience with pick up their appearance in famous club Rodon in the city of Athens. One year later (1996) returned as a guest band to Rodon in order to present their first full album “Multimorphic” and started a successfully tour around the Greece. In 1997 Universal Trilogy released their second full album “Front Line” and played as guest band in the Greek DJs competition in Athens. The next 3 years was for the band a period of experimentation in studio with new sounds, also collaborated with the famous composer and songwriter Stefano Korkoli and released the song “Rave Tango” in the soundtrack of the move “The Mating Game”. The Universal Trilogy continued to gave a series of successful concerts in big cities of Greece with support promotion by beer Amstel, but also in 1999 the band embarked on its first gigs in Germany and Italy. All the above resulted them in supporting bands like Death in Vegas (February 2000, club Mylos Thessaloniki), Elbow and Scissor Sisters in their Greek shows. In 2001 was released their 3rd album “Plus+” which performed exceptionally well on the charts and the band received more airplay and press attention, especially the tracks “Inside Blue” and “Make My Day”. In 2002 cooperated with the well-known English producer John Antony (Genesis, Roxy Music, Ace, Queen Etc.) in new and old music materials and after of 2 years released the 4th album “I Thought It Was All Over”. In February of 2004 Universal Trilogy have had the need to take a break in their creative music process and to returned in the music scene in April of 2011 with the single “One On One”, in 2012 released new album with the title “Pop Crisis”, at the moment the album received exceptional critics from the press and music lovers. The new radio single and video clip is the track “Pop Crisis”.
