Συντριβάνι (Trailer) @ Θεσσαλονίκη 2011

Syntrivani (fountain) of Thessaloniki was built in 1889 after the demolition of the eastern wall, on th place previously occupied by the Kassandreia gate. It was a gift of sultan Abdul Hamid to the Thessalonicians of that time and part of an embellishment plan. Curiously enough, during its inauguration it poured cherry refreshment for everyone to drink. The next day it started pouring precious water for the passers-by and the animals.
A central monument, easily identified, Syntrivani is connected to the modern history of Thessaloniki. Direction: Eleni Stoumpou-Katsamouris, 2010-11.
