In Where We Were @ Μπιενάλε Θεσσαλονίκη 2011

“In Where We Were” is a video work which is invited to participate in the 2011 Biennal of Thessaloniki, Greece ─ “Symbiosis”. Text excerpt from poems of Portuguese poet, Fernando Pessoa, by the strong sense of loneliness in his poem to construct the video’s narrative line, also the concept of this work is from the exhibition space─ an abandoned hotel room in Ariston Hotel. Through a woman who lived in the room, the delay, waiting and repeated movement to convey the state of isolation, and through the “situation of she films herself or filmed by someone”, so that the video can be repeated again and again while exhibiting, it also represents the eternal loneliness.

「我還在，還在那曾經當中。」

「In Where We Were」是獲邀參加2011年希臘Thessaloniki 雙年展─“Symbiosis“的影像作品。文本節選自葡萄牙詩人─佩索亞的詩句，藉由他強大的孤寂感，建構起影片的敘事基調；作品概念從展覽空間─廢棄的Ariston Hotel房間出發，透過一個女子在曾經生活過的房間中的遲滯、等待與反覆，來傳達出「曾經」/「不再」的情感狀態；並且透過「模擬錄像」的再次呈現，讓畫面可以被一再重­覆，仿若這寂寥的空洞，並不會因為時間的移動而消逝，反倒被永恆的紀錄了起來。
